Nordic Waterproofing future-proofs production in Höganäs

AirSon has contributed to a major modernization project at Nordic Waterproofing's production facility in Höganäs, aimed at reducing emissions, improving the working environment, and creating the conditions for long-term sustainable production.

Although the facility already complied with applicable regulatory requirements, a need was identified to meet future regulatory and environmental requirements while providing greater flexibility for upcoming product developments. AirSon was entrusted to support the project throughout its entire lifecycle, from early-stage technical studies and system selection to detailed design, procurement support, construction management, health and safety coordination, and commissioning.

The project included the installation of a new filtration system for the treatment of VOC emissions (Volatile Organic Compounds), upgraded factory ventilation, improved dust extraction, and a new electric thermal oil boiler for process heating. Due to the facility's central location in Höganäs, particular attention was also given to reducing noise levels and minimizing the impact on the surrounding area.

A key challenge was integrating modern process, ventilation, and emission control systems into an existing production facility that remained fully operational throughout the project. Through close collaboration between Nordic Waterproofing, suppliers, and AirSon, a robust and future-proof solution was developed with a strong focus on operational reliability, maintainability, and long-term flexibility.

The investments have strengthened Nordic Waterproofing's environmental performance while also improving working conditions for employees. The new solutions provide a solid foundation for continued efficient production, reduced environmental impact, and high operational reliability.

AirSon would like to thank Nordic Waterproofing for the trust placed in us and looks forward to continuing our successful collaboration.
